Research

The faculty is internationally recognised for its contributions to pharmaceutical science research. The two key research areas in the faculty are the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety (which addresses public health issues resulting from the use and safety of pharmaceutical products in practice) and the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The recently re-developed facilities of the Monash University Parkville campus is 3km north of Melbourne’s city centre and part of the “Parkville strip” – Australia’s premier knowledge precinct. It is located in beautiful parklands and adjacent to the vibrant and exciting inner city lifestyles of Carlton, Brunswick and North Melbourne.

Graduate outcomes

99.4% of pharmacy graduates get jobs within four months of graduating. Our pharmaceutical science graduates have excellent job opportunities. Companies seek out our graduates because of their high level of knowledge and first class laboratory skills. Our PhD and Masters are working in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry throughout Australia and the world - especially in Europe and the USA.
